My probation officer wants to talk to my sponsor.
I went to see my probation officer last week. She said she wanted to talk to my sponsor. Why? And what about the whole anonynimity thing on her side and mine. I can see her asking me about my step work and the things I do for recovery. But why would she want to talk to my sponsor. Is my word not good enough? She also said that I have to start going to meetings at least once a week. I dont have problems going to a meeting when I need one or even if I dont, but being told I have to go doesnt seem right either. I work a recovery plan with the aid of my sponsor and my call list and meetings when I need to go. I have been doing good for almost a year and a half. Why is she trying to interfere with this? She is new with me. But I cant understand her wanting information from my sponsor. Its not that I have anything to hide, but kinda feel its an invasion of my privacy of my recovery. I shouldnt be made to share my recovery with my new probation officer until I feel more comfortable with her. Am I wrong in this?
