I'm a non - drinker and came to this forum out of concern for someone else and not myself, but I do have a story to relate. I was beginning to hit the beer pretty regularly some years back, but wasn't at the really serious stage as others here have. Well, one morning I woke up with one of those monumental hangovers and lying in my bed I told myself that from this day forward I'm a non drinker and some kind of rush came over me, like some force was there to soothe me. I knew then that my drinking days were over and that's the way it's been for twelve and a half years now.

I like to think that I quit while I was still ahead.
