My Summer.

Well, this summer has been very, very interesting for me. Not just as "Hope the person" but as "Grammy Hope."

Do we keep realizing how much love we have in our hearts for our grandkids, even when we think we already know? For me, that answer is yes.

Although I have been very tired, I have to tell you the smiles and the laughs that I have been blessed with from my very, VERY "testosterone filled almost a teen-ager" grandboy.....he surely has kept me on my toes, and laughing.
The other morning he said something that even he could not of known the significance of. His dad had commented that he went to be about 10pm the night before. He arrived at my house at 7am, and jumped on the couch for the rest of his morning sleep. What got me was his response to his dad...which was..."Yeah, about 10, but I did get up to fiddle around!" THAT is something my mom used to say.."fiddle around." OH how that touched such a sweet spot in my heart. I wore a SMILE ALL DAY!! AND I got to share it with someone very dear to me, and when she ended her email that day, she commented on how she was off to "fiddle around!" She GOT it!!

There have been so many lessons and blessings that I just would not have time to tell you about everything. I met a new lady from the church that I can only tell you HAS been placed in my life for many reasons...I just know this.

I have a God box which someone that is such a tremendous friend, helped me to design in a "crisis moment." Little does she know HOW much that helped me.

I have climbed the ladder of life this summer. I have been knocked off but gotten right back on. I have had bad health, good health, lost hope, found my hope, lost faith, found faith and well, the lessons have really been never-ending.

And there of course were some lessons I did not really want but needed. I found out who is there for me when I need support. That is when I know the support that I have so freely given when needed, came back to me. And that IS a great feeling. We never keep score, I don't mean that at all.....but if you are the ONLY one responding to another's crisis, but never hear from someone unless they need you, that is a red flag. We for sure, must keep weeding our garden but never stop planting.

I hope everyone has had a really nice summer too. And although it is not over yet, I just wanted to comment on how blessed I have been.
I think I am back to living in "the day." And YES to steal something my daughter often says which I love is "That is not today's problem." I use that SO very often these days.
