Record flooding in Bucks County.
Well, Bucks County is finding it's self under water for the 3rd time in 18 months. This time it is record levels.
we went to the river to see it. We stood on the bridge that hadn't been closed yet. It's a mess. We watched debris floating by at a rapid rate. Entire trees, roots, leaves and all. Logs, trash cans, road construction barrels, a swimming pool, and even a port-a-potty. Yes, a port-a-potty. Makes me think twice about going in the river.
We are supposed to go camping this weekend, you guessed it, along the river. We had a river front site at the campground so we could just launch the canoe from the site. well, the site is no longer on the river, it is now IN the river. The campground moved us to a site further in-land. At least we still get to go.
I feel really bad for the people who live along the river. We haven't had flooding here for about 50 years, prior to this. now, as I said, the 3rd time in 18 months, they are watching their homes disappear under water. The look of helplessness on their faces as the water approaches. It's heart breaking.
Keep them in your prayers.
