Percocet addiction?

Hi,
I'm trying to find some information about Percocet/Oxycotin addiction.
I started taking percocets several years ago. I started taking them only a few times a week for the first few years, generally sticking to a lower dose- not really sure of the mgs, but the person I buy from calls them "5's". Anyway, I would take only half of a 5. I then progressed to taking a whole 5 pretty much every day. I'm still at that dosage, but I've noticed that if I try to skip a day I start feeling what I believe are withdrawl symptoms. These symptoms include lower back pain, fatigue, anxiety, etc.
I would like to stop, but I'm afraid that the withdrawl symptoms will effect my job preformance and jeoprodize my position.
Can anyone tell me how long I can expect withdrawl to last?
