Seeking Help 2

I would like to make it clear to everyone here that my membership will only be used to aid me in my personal walk with sobriety.

Since I started the program (Novermber 2008) I graduated last year they have from time to time asked me to write and recite a poem or something relating to recovery. I never did. I write fiction and poetry.

This year when asked I said that I would "speak" at the graduation ceremony. Instead of reciting a poem I am going to give a motivational speech. The objective is to get everyone out there enjoying sober life. That's the point to sobering up (isn't it).

That is the one thing that the staff liked most about me. No matter what I am out there living life to the fullest. No matter what I am sober. That is what they want me to help my brothers and sisters with. You know like I know "The only way you can keep it is by giving it away".

My hope is that on friday when they call my name to speak I get up there release the clutch and floor it. I am not going to stop until everyone is on thier feet. Hopefully, I repeat hopefully one of the 1000+ people in that auditorium will get out there and pick up an engaging hobby, join a group or learn a new skill.

Basically the only thing that I have written so far is the introduction. What I am looking for is quotes by famous people or a general direction to go in that will motivate them to get out and enjoy life. I'll take any suggestions.
