Wal-mart presciption

I received a letter the other day from the Wal-mart pharmacy. It said:

We appreciate your using our new method of paying for presciptions at the front registers. Hopefully it was more convenient for you.
Our records for 10/25/07 indicate you took Rx # 12345 to the front register for payment. The transaction did not appear on the detail tape, which may mean payment was not recieved. Please check your records to see if you did, in fact, pay for the presciption. I would appreciate a call from you with the check number or receipt. If payment was not made, please send the money to the above address.
Thank you for your cooperation. If we can be of assistance to you in any way, please do not hesitate to call.



Well, no this has not been more convenient for me!! I have now had to track down a receipt (which normally would have already been thrown away). I paid with a debit card, so I have no check number. And what the hell happened to your mistake your loss, or are they accusing me of stealing it!! Not my fault if their cashiers don't run through what I put on the register. UGH!! I was shocked to get this letter. And no, the Rx was not on the receipt. So I will go back and pay the $8, because that's the right thing to do. But I'm not happy about it.
