I actually enjoy going to meetings. It helps me hold on to the pain, keep it fresh so to speak. Don't really have an attitude any more. It no longer bothers me to read the steps. I just don't believe they are anywhere near the whole answer for me. Some of them make sense to me (1, 4, 8, 9, 10). The rest don't. I go to a meeting almost every day. I only miss if it's unavoidable. I almost always hear something that benifits my thinking. Also it's a socializing influence that I desperately need. I've always been a loner and extremely judgmental - hard on others, much harder on myself. Letting that go and actually listening to people, talking with them, sharing is something I'm getting better at by going to meetings. I have learned that some of the things that work for me are best not shared. It really pisses me off when the chairperson rolls their eyes. Oh well, 'nuf said.
