Almost his last drink....

Please don't send sympathy my way I do not personally now this man my DH does, but I thought this to be story I needed to pass on.

In a ideal world I would be preaching to the choir but sad as it is, statistics show that some of us will end up relapsing and if you do please don't let this be you.

A friend of DH's ended his Friday at work with the boss buying a couple of drinks to celebrate the beggining of the Memoreial Day Weekend... as a driver of truck this mans livelyhood depends on his drivers license. Well as it has for many of us, a couple led to many and eventually it was time to leave.... many asked him not to drive, but he said he was fine. Fine enough to drive down the wrong side of the road passing every car he could. Someone phone the police who were now waiting for him down the road. but before he got there and fortunately before killing anyone his car left the road and met a tree or two... he was rushed to trauma where they operated to control the internal bleeding.... he lived and he remembers none of this.... this is his second DWI.

Please.... if you must relapse don't take anyone with you.... if nothing else remember you CAN"T drive.

... and if someone is drunk and insists on driving....all you need is the tip of pen to maybe save a life...... let the air out of their tires .... they Will not get very far
