Welcome home family!

Thank you for your patience as we secured the Village and allowed our exterminator to clean the land.
All is okay now. Sadly, some things are not yet functional and have to be reinstalled. This may take as long as 2 weeks to complete.

Not yet functioning:

Chat not functional
Member page needs to be re-installed.
Email notifiations not yet ready.
Avatars all gone unless it it was a default avatar (used from our gallery).

So...

What happened is no longer important. What's done is done and though a malicious intent to harm us they/he/she didn't win as hard as they tried to cause as much damage as possible.

Now here's how you can help. This is your member To Do list.

1. Immediately change your password. If you did it last week, do it again.

2. Because of the nature of this hackers code I'd recommend if able to, changing your email address.
HOWEVER, if you decide you want to do this. Please read very carefully how I'd like this process to occur.

DO NOT CHANGE YOUR EMAIL IN YOUR USERCP! THIS WILL CAUSE YOU TO IMMEDIATELY INACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT!
If you would like to change your email address please contact in a private message any of your Forums Team Leaders. (Please do
not pm me on this only your Forums Team) The Forums Team will compile a list of members and emails and once we have them we'll
begin manually doing this to prevent your account from going inactive for any period of time. This is only a recommendation
and not mandatory like changing your password.

3. Put up a new avatar if you like! Again, contact your Forums Team if you need help with this.

4. Begin migrating any discussion you started from the back up board here. If you would like your discussion you started to continue over
here I will need the THREAD STARTER, to copy their post to the appropriate forum. Anyone replying can then copy their responses.
Remember the back up board goes dark when this forum is live. So discussion will begin dying off over there, but I'd like to see them
continue here.

5. Signatures- You may put your images back in your signature, but NO LINKS, TICKERS, ANIMATIONS please!

6. Once email notifications are enabled again I'll need you to give me a shout if they are working.

Changes you'll notice:

You will no longer be able to post attachments of any kind in your posts. ONLY images hosted from imageshack and photobucket will be
permitted. If you post an image from elsewhere it WILL be removed.

Absolutely no links of any kind will be permitted in posts or signatures. If you want to post a link source from something your copying
from elsewhere you can do it like this with spaces between the characters.

www.mylink.com >>> w w w. m y link . com .... so long as the hyper link does not show up it's okay.

Profile pictures will be disabled and no longer allowed.

Lastely, email has been set up temporarily at villagecontact@ sbcglobal.net this is TEMPORARY so I can monitor quickly member
needs. Once the email system is finished being set-up it will revert back to admin@thesobervillage.com.

I need to be informed immediately if you receive any email from "xyz"@thesobervillage.com if not signed by me. You can forward it to
me at above mentioned emails. The nature of the hack was malicious spam email and WILL NOT harm your computer, your data here, nor
compromise your personal information. For obvious reasons I must keep the nature of this hack confidential.
