Default Heat Exhaustion

Just a little reminder - with a heat wave covering most of the US, we need to be mindful.

THE SIGNS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION:

HEAVY SWEATING

PALESNESS

MUSCLE CRAMPSS

TIREDNESS

DIZZINESS

HEADACHE

NAUSEA OR VOMITING

FAINTING

COOL, MOIST SKIN

WEAK PULSE

FAST, SHALLOW BREATHING

Everyone should be aware of these signs. Some of us are at that age where we need to heed the advisories that are issued for the "elderly" and people with health issues.

I know the heat and humidity have put me into the slow mode. I just want you to watch out and take care of yourself also.

REMEMBER: When they say to drink water they mean water not Coke, Diet Coke, Pepsi, Mt. Dew or any other soft drink. The body needs water to replace what you sweat out. And if you don't sweat, the body needs the
water to cool you. The kidneys need water to help purify your system. Coke will clean your battery terminals but not help your kidneys.

Try to stay cool. get the hose out and play!
