I have had such a great day today filled with love and gratitude. It really has been a crazy, challenging year!! So much has happened in my life that would have sent me drinking once upon a time, but by the grace of my God, I haven't needed to pick up a drink to get through any of it. What a miracle!! Thanks to the sober friends I have today and the program of AA, I am living a life of freedom and happiness without fears, secrets, guilt or shame. This village has been a huge part of my recovery also- xoxo

I just have to remember that I have a daily reprieve so I better continue taking it One Day at A Time.

You know-- I should probably modify this one! LOL I'd be lying if I said I had no fear!! The difference is that today I don't have to sit in that fear, I know the action to take to get out of it. Where there is fear there is no faith, so I had better stay spiritually fit. When I was in 1st grade I was sitting at the phonics table (remember phonics??) and I had to go to the bathroom. We had just come in from recess so I was terrified to ask my teacher-- thinking she would be so mad at me! I sat there and just pee'd in my pants in my chair. To this day I remember the humiliation I felt! Fear dictated so much of my life without even realizing it. So, like I said, today I don't have to sit in my fear (or my pee)
