Posting in another forum (Buddies, Sober September), it occurred to me how much I am OK with going to the doc if I have a physical problem - sore shoulder, major infection etc., and how hard it is to talk about any kind of 'head' problem.
My problem is not major - inmtermittent anxiety symptoms. But I still have a really hard time going to my doc when they recurr, even though he is totally supportive. And in my head, I still go through a lot of "This is NOT totally a mental (or whatever) problem - there MUST be a pyhsical component...". I would love to hear how anyone else feels about this sort of thing. zanna |
