"Worry is interest paid on trouble before it is due"
~~~~~~~~~~~~William Ralph Inge Regardless of how good or not good we are in business matters, most of us know that to pay interest on money before it is due is foolish. A person could go broke that way! Why, then, are we willing to pay emotional interest before it is due? When we worry, we go to our emotional bank account and draw out our reserves before they are really needed. Often we are surprised at how much reserve we have in our emotional account. If we indulge in worrying, we willingly deplete our emotional account in advance spending--of processes that pay no dividends. This behavior doesn't make much sense (cents!), does it? When we deplete our stores, we are spent and may not have the reserves we need when we need them, except at great cost to ourselves physically and emotionally. There are other ways of operating. "Good business and good health are related" Taken from Daily Meditations For People Who (May) Worry Too Much. Hopefloats
