Two Faces

Unfortunately, we sometimes find that people have two faces.
The one they purport to us, and the one they purport to others.
We often find them genuine and caring at first glance.
We then discover that while they may not be people of the lie, they are certainly people of the agenda.
Me, I get along fine with people who shoot straight from the hip.
The ones who are honest about who they are and what they are about.
I don't get along very well with people who say one thing, then do another.
I don't get along very well with people who act as if they don't like someone, and are then smooching their hindquarters to further their own personal agenda.
See, me...I believe you at first glance.
I believe you when you say who you are and what you're about.
When that changes the first time the wind blows, I know I've made a mistake about you.
I know you aren't genuine.
I look at your words...
then I look at your actions.
And I see which of those two things speaks the loudest.
I know that the people I need in my life are the ones who are dependable.
And believeable.
And who walk what they talk.
That is a good space.
I like living there.
