By grace alone





I might have deserted Jesus but, he's never deserted me
He gave me his forgiveness on a cross made from a dogwood tree
In my times of trouble and all of my despair
I could always open up the Bible and find some comfort there
For all the sins I've committed, I am the one to blame
Even though I strayed from my Savior, he's loved me just the same.
Thru the times I've been greedy for more then my daily bread.
I've never gone hungry, I've always been fed
In my darkest moments, I know what we should do.
Go out and help somone that's less fortunate then you.
My faith and good works aren't enough, it's taken God's grace
We now have eternal life because, Jesus has taken our place
