Hi and thanks all from the Sober Village and thanks for being here.

I am starting this thread as some of us has decided to move on from the "other" site yet we would like to continue our old online friendships and make some new friends along the way.

We were a group "over there" who were committed to long term abstinence and we have all made some huge strides on this journey.

Anyway, I have a three year anniversary coming up this July. While it has not all been easy, it has and remains, worth it. Long term sobriety brings its own special challenges, yet old habits die hard. Urges and triggers, still there. grrr.

I am a working Mom with my own business and two college kids (talk about challenges???) Married to my former drinking buddy, (he is now sober as well through AA although he is no longer an active regular meeting participant), we are working our way out of unemployment, debt and all of those goodies that come from 20 years of active alcohol usuage. Thankfully we escaped any major heath or legal issues (thusfar).
