Welcome. Are you getting any face to face support at all? ie therapy or some AA meetings?

I ask, because you say you travel a lot, and in any town you are in all you need to do is call the 'central' AA number listed in the white pages of the town you are in and they will be happy to send a woman to take you to a meeting.

I know when I was in 'travel mode' for business, that was usually the first thing I did upon reaching my Hotel Room. I would look up AA, tell them I needed a meeting, and could someone take me, and boom within usually an hour to an hour and a half, I had a sober woman calling me and working out time with me for a meeting.

Over the years I have met so MANY folks this way in so MANY cities I have lost count. I recently starting travelling again (for pleasure this time) having reconnected with my first love (long story) and everywhere we have gone, I have again contacted the AA number and off to a meeting for an hour or so (no he is not an alkie, but has no problem with me attending meetings wherever we are lol)

By doing that, it would certainly help with your 'empty' time both home and away and you will be amazed at the friends you will start to make.

Whether you adopt the AA program or not, the meetings (which are not the program but a fellowship) are a great way to meet other sober folks.

Again, WELCOME to The Sober Village.

Love and hugs,
