Hi and WELCOME to our Village.
My daughter is the addict in my life. No matter what the relationship I DO love the saying 'ONE DAY AT A TIME." Of course that plays so well in all aspects of my life. I am sure that you are both different people today. That is a good thing as it just represents growth! I can see where this could cause you some stress, but remember to allow this to be fun too! Take time to listen and talk, and try as you can not to live in the past. If an issue comes up in the present day, explore that. I don't mean that you can never talk about something that happened before, but just speaking for myself, I still had a foot in yesterday for so long. We are here to listen and to offer you support. Take a deep breath and just take things slowly as they come. Don't try to force anything and remember that Serenity Prayer along the way. Wishing you the VERY best, and again WELCOME!!!!!
