My grandma

My grandma
Its been 14 years or more..we have been 'estranged'..if thats the right word who knows..we have not spoken for that long...i have missed her....


Today i spoke to her..she is 93 years old..has had two knee replacements, and two hip joint replacements...she has battled throat cancer and is now in remission...she is off to Mexico in June for a holiday!.....what an amazing and strong woman she is



WE chatted, we cried we laughed...im arranging to see her in the next couple of weeks!!!



This has been playing on my mind ever since i came across step 9! ha!



looks like we are both ready.....

the boys want to meet her, she wants to meet them!!!...its just too much!..its been a very emotional few days..ive been on a trip down memory lane...i guess this was the icing on the cake!....photos to follow soon...

It's a big step. And one you should be proud of. I've lately read several books by Harriet Lerner, and she advocates setting relationships in our original families straight as a stepping stone to making all the relationships we have more healthy and fulfilling. Have a great visit!

called my cousin today and texted her, hopiong to arrange that she will go and collect Gmar...as my aunty doesnt want to know me and its all abit dreadful!

anyway have not heard anything back yet..but hopefull itll be within the next couple weeks..im still bowled over by this!...

grandma called me on Wednesday and i called her back this evening..i have arranged to have her come here for Easter!..that is something isnt it!!!!...i have wanted this for sucha long time you will never know how heart broken i have been not being able to talkt to my grandma..and now we are back in touch....its magic.

i prayed for this and i got it...

you know somthing life really is full of magic.....i use the power of intention.



it is my intention also to meet a whole load of you guys at some stage. i know this will happen. Patty, Missy, Muse, Bruce, Indie seem to pop into my head.....i use the power of intention..it works....EVERYTIME!

its so funny my gran has called me a couple of times and i have called her..tonight we chatted for three hours!!!!! god i am blessed to talk to her again..oh god i miss that special lady! the feeling is mutual..i told her about my alcoholism and stuff, she told me about some of her life too...its so amazing to be able to talk to her!..im picking her up on5th April but i may have to sneak up to see her before then i so want to cuddle her and tell her i love her....

i love my grandma...i just love her so much!...she was the closest thing to a mother i ever had......

lol..we talked about that tonight..she gave up smoking 30 years ago, she smoked 20 a day but stopped just like that! no withdrawls!...just goes to show you!...

i have spent the last hour just crying....crying for so much wasted time so much wasted time!!!..why?...why did we leave it so long?!!!!!

Oh my, I was going to repond to this some time ago, but was traveling.
I am so happy for you, Kenny. I can only imagine how you must feel. I only ever met my one Gramma, and she died more than 20 yrs ago. She must have been 70 when I was born.
93 and going to Mexico on vacation? Wonderful.
I am sure you will have a wonderful Easter and I hope life-long memories are made.

yes i said Wednesday im really looking forward to it...she keeps telling me she has jewlry and clothes for me! oh grandma! i dont need that all i want is you to be here!!!

she sounded so excited! not half as excited as me..like i have siad she is the closest person i have to a mother ill ever have...

i got her room ready today, and cleaned the house and arranged stuff so that she will hopefully have a comfortable stay...im picking her up tomorrow!...i cry every time i think about it!..its going to be such an emotional day.....
