Did anyone hear about this? I just did. I don't have a link, I'll try and post one, I watched the video, looks to me like she poored the water on the floor. If I did that here at LAX they'd have my butt in jail faster than I could say sippy cup.

Yep, looks like she poured it. Said she was going to drink it......not....she poured it out. She was at fault, I think. Missed her flight, wants an apology. Had she just followed the rules, in the first place, she wouldn't have missed her original flight.

That's what I thought.. Come on people, they may seem like dumb rules, but they didn't start making them until people started blowing up our buildings and killing people.

Rules are rules, follow them...

I've gotten in trouble at LAX a few times, you aren't even able to raise your voice to anyone their or they WILL take you to jail.
At one point they weren't letting you even get out of your car to pick up passengers, you had to stay in the car while they loaded themselves, ughh, stupid. That was just one of the times I almost went to jail, lol. I've learned to be Very nice and do whatever they tell me to do now no matter what.

About a month and a half ago they had to shut half of LAX down because they caught a guy with a bomb up his anus...... I kid you not....
So I get why they are so rule crazy...

Someone whose trying to save my our lives can have all the cooperation they want out of me, lol....

The Transportation Security Administration is denying allegations that an airport screener seized a toddler's sippy cup and mistreated his mother, taking the unusual step of posting security camera footage on its Web site.
The TSA said in a statement that the incident and the videotape demonstrate that its 'officers display professionalism and concern for all passengers.'
At issue is whether Monica Emmerson, a former Secret Service officer, was improperly detained June 11 after she spilled water out of her child's sippy cup at Washington's Reagan National Airport.
TSA has banned most fluids at airport security checkpoints for nearly a year because of concern about possible liquid explosives.
'I was distraught. I opened my son's sippy cup. I twisted off the top. I wanted to drink the water. It spilled out,' Emmerson said Saturday.
Emmerson said an officer threatened to arrest her after the water spilled, telling her she was 'endangering the public.' She said there was no place to dump the water near the security area, and that she was worried when her son started wandering away from her.
The story quickly spread on the Internet this week after blogger Bill Adler, a Washington author, saw a note Emmerson wrote on a Web site for city parents. Adler interviewed Emmerson and relayed her account.
He wrote that a TSA screener seized her 19-month-old's cup after asking if there was water in it, causing Emmerson's son to cry. Emmerson was told she would have to leave the security checkpoint and dump out the water if she wanted to keep the cup.
Emmerson said she accidentally spilled the water because she was nervous and traveling alone with a toddler.
TSA, however, said Emmerson dumped, not spilled, the water on the floor.

A TSA report said Emmerson told an officer that she was a Secret Service agent, flashed her credentials and said she was exempt from the 'stupid' policy restricting liquids on planes.

But Emmerson denied that she flashed her badge, saying the video footage shows her digging in her luggage for identification.
'That's a gross lie,' she said.
The video that TSA posted on its Web site Friday shows Emmerson being escorted from the security checkpoint as she appears to take the top off the sippy cup and shake it upside down.
It shows that after she was confronted by several officers, she used paper towels fetched by the TSA to clean up the spot as other passengers stream by her.
'The allegation here that we were out of control is absolutely false,' said Earl Morris, deputy assistant administrator for security operations with the TSA. 'If you look at the report and the video itself, it shows she's the only one who was out of control.'

If you watch the footage, why the hell does she dump the cup out on the floor? I mean I can see myself in that situation, she looks like a typical hurried parent. But opening it up and dumping it directly on the slick tile floor is just bad manners and bizzare.

If it occured to me that I should dump it before the check point, and it probably wouldn't, I would have been looking for the nearest trash can.

She drew attention to herself by making a really stupid and strange move right next to a TSA security guy.

She Swears she "accidentally" spilled it and she wants an "Appology".
She's been all over every news program here telling everyone that
she wants an appology and that she didn't dump it was an accident.

lol, that's why I posted it, I took a poll that said I thought she dumped
it, the poll said, 60% said they owed her an appology???

I agree it was bad manners and bizarre. Okay I can see maybe getting flustered and flipping out, but then YOU should appologize...

She wasn't very convincing to me though.
She dumped, she knows it.

I imagine she's probably embarrassed by her actions, she looked like a mad woman speedwalking while these officers were trying to talk to her.

She wants an apology....puleeez.
