Hi all,
I am starting this thread to whine at you non-addicts so you can remind me of all the pain I have caused, and how you see things from your perspective. Seriously, please help, and I, for one will not be offended. To start: As long as I am either at work, or an AA meeting I feel pretty OK. But when I come home it is a different story. I am uncomfortable, submissive, ashamed and mad all at the same time. Uncomfortable because things are not as they were. Submissive because I know I have flaws and am very aware of them. Ashamed because I let myself use/drink AGAIN! Mad because of your flaws that I now cannot criticize (because I have been so bad). This is "raw" whining, and of course it is not always like any of the above, but when I feel this kind tension, it helps to talk through it, and I do, a lot! with other addicts, but not so much with the non-addicts who live with us. ...to be continued, Gianna
