Jeremy London kidnapped, forced to smoke meth for 12 hours

jeremy-london.jpgActor Jeremy London was kidnapped for 12 hours in the California desert on Thursday (June 10) and forced to smoke crack/meth at gunpoint.

London was fixing a flat tire outside a Palm Springs hotel. Two men approached and helped him fix the flat. Then they pulled a gun and made him chauffeur them around town.

London, best known for roles on "7th Heaven" and "Party of Five," drove the two young men around while they bought crack cocaine, meth and booze, which they distributed in gang areas.

They also forced him to smoke the highly addictive amphetamine-like drug. London is a recovering drug addict and had only recently talked about his drug use and battles.

After nearly 12 hours, London escaped (how he escaped is still a mystery) and he contacted police about 2:35 a.m. the next morning.

London's car was found in Gateway Estates in Palm Springs. A young man named Brandon Adams, 26, has charged with kidnapping, robbery and vehicle theft.

"Thankfully, Jeremy London survived his terrorizing ordeal in Palm Springs last week -- although understandably shaken and scared, he is currently working closely with law enforcement as they investigate the horrific turn of events," London's rep told E! News.

In September 2009, London went into a rehab for addiction to prescription drugs. "There were times I didn't care if I died," he told People. "I felt like I was losing everything."

What a terrifying nightmare for anyone, especially a recovering addict.
