Instructions For Uploading Photos From Photobucket

First and foremost....Know where your pictures are on your computer.
I transfer all of the ones I'm going to upload into a separate folder made up in My Pictures in Windows.
This makes it much easier for me to find the ones I want to upload rather than searching through all my other picture folders to find them.

I also resize them to no more than 800 pixels on the long side before putting them in this separate folder.

Next since you Can Not upload your pictures directly from your computer you will need to upload them to a photo sharing site such as: Photobucket
or Imageshack.
Both of these are free hosting sites.

These instructions are for uploading from Photobucket only.

First set up your account at Photobucket and then open up your album.

At the top right of your album page you will see a choose files icon and to the right of that, four icons from where you want to upload from.
Click on the My Computer Icon at the top for uploading from your computer, then click on the choose files icon.

You should now see a pop-up window of the files and folders that are on your computer.

Find the picture folder you set up....open it....then Double Click on the picture you want to upload.

Your picture will start to upload automatically, and you can see the file progress.

Once it’s uploaded the page will change and you can add a title and description if you want.

Now scroll down to the bottom of this page and click the save and continue icon.

The page will now jump back to your album page and your picture is now uploaded to photobucket.

Now on to getting them transferred from your photobucket album page to here.

I always open up my Internet Browser a second time so I have SV on one and Photobucket on the other so I don't lose my post by having to go out of SV.

Ok on the Photobucket page...click the "Direct Link" below the picture you want to put here......no need to copy.....it has done it for you.

Now bring up SV in the separate browser.

Click the New Thread icon if you are going to start a new thread or the Post Reply icon if your going to be adding your pictures to a thread that is already ongoing.

At the top of the reply window you will see a several icons.....

Click the fifth one from the right...the one that looks like a mountain and sun.

You should now have a pop-up box that opened.

Delete the http// in the box.....then paste your photo (Ctrl+V).....then click OK.

Your picture should appear in the reply window.

If you are adding more than one picture to the thread at that time...click next to the bottom right of the last picture you just added, then double space, then hit the mountain icon again for each picture your uploading.

Now click Submit Reply icon at the bottom of the reply window and your pictures will show up on the thread.
