The Tavern is a forum for those in recovery to share their stories of alcoholism, substance abuse and addiction.

It is my opinion our stories are unique and personal to each of us. The purpose of our stories being shared here is to share deep parts of ourselves giving those still struggling some hope that they to will find their recovery road.

When sharing in this forum and writing your story you should have at least one year of sobriety or clean time. Share from your heart and let us know how you did it.

Because members take a great deal of time to post their story and give us a very private and personal piece of themselves in this forum we should respectfully honor them and applaud them for having the courage to post a sometimes difficult story. So please note to not disrupt a very "sacred" post, thoughts and gift from the heart all threads will be closed upon submission from the member once posted.

If you are touched by a members story and would like to further comment please start a new thread in either the Alcoholism or Substance Abuse forum.
