Default Afrita's Health and Wellness Accountability Thread

I am working on a project: me. My goals are to become as healthy as I can. This is complicated, because my addictive issues are intertwined with how unhealthy I have become.

I have recently joined a gym and had a few introductory personal training sessions. In ten minutes I leave to go to my first of a package of twelve sessions. I will go to him twice a week and have a goal of doing cardio or a circuit class on all other days of the week. I will walk twenty minutes to and from the gym.

I am keeping a food and water diary which I will show to my trainer at each session and post here to keep myself accountable (along with a note about daily exercise). I will keep track of calories as a matter of accountability, and I will attempt to stick to healthy, unprocessed food, but because I have a tendency towards bulimia and bingeing, I feel like I have to be careful to not label foods as "bad" or "good", or my choices as "bad" or "good"

I could easily make this a weight loss thread--and I want to weigh less--but I really want it to be a thread about learning to make healthy choices. So I will not ever weigh myself. My trainer has measured me, and at some point I will ask him to provide me with a comparison if I need to reinforce motivation.

I imagine this is totally uninteresting to most of you, and I respect that. I just hope that by posting here I am laying myself open to a more public commitment.
