I am SO grateful for the fellowship of AA at this particular time
As many of you know AA has been my chosen method of recovery for nearly 7 years, and I have never been so grateful as I am atm Some know, I recently had emergency cardiac surgery, and complications followed , and i was told last week that i must move from my house, where I have lived for 10 years, the owner wants to live here . Well, thank God for the steps, my AA friends, and my programme!! Fear instantly overtook me, it all looked so hard , I cant lift anything, and it was overwhelming ! BUT I remembered "the next right thing" find somewhere to live , I did achieve that, and this morning my AA friends are rocking up with strong men and trailers to help me move. I would NEVER ask for help before I stopped drinking and embracd the AA programme, I still find it hard, but members have always been there for me when I have needed them I have come to realise that I do not do 'change" of any kind very well, and this is huge !!! So thank you for my programme, steps, and friends ! It works if you work it ! HUGX Leigh |
