One of the scout troops put together a 'FUN'draiser night at Pizza Hut for tonite. I've been flooding everyone I know and a bunch of people I don't know with flyers and coupons.
Well, we went to Pizza Hut tonite to pick up our order and I was over whelmed. We knew more than 75% of the people in the resturaunt, and they introduced us to most of the other 25% there. There was a 35 min. wait for a table, and a 30 to 40 min. wait for take out. We sat waiting for our take out order and watched as one after another came in and handed them the flyer for the Dayno Heart Fund. We didn't know most of the people walking in ordering pizza. It was amazing. The Scouts, the local volunteer fire department, PTO members, families from my sons school, and yes even a few addicts. All in the same room for The same purpose. Just while we were waiting different people came up and told us they were hoping to see us there, and would hand us envelopes. When we got home, I opened them. Just in 30 min. we recieved 300.00 in cash and checks. That doesn't include the 20% we will get from the resturaunt for today. What we saw was just 45 min of it. The fundraiser was from open til close, eat in or take out all day today. At one point I had chills and felt so overwhelmed I thought I was going to cry. Once again, the HP's keeps a better budget than I do. Just wanted to share something good with you all. |
