Its good to be drug free relatively healthy and not obssesed with drugs or overwhelmed by the compulsion to use today.
I use to hate the saying "All my problems are golden" That's because I did not understand what it could mean when I was outa my head all the time and always planning my next move, my next hit and where the money was coming from, all my problems where other people and how to manipulate them and get what I wanted. These days being drug free, prison free, insane free and on a daily basis free from the horrific bondage of addiction I have problems like paying the mortgage, going to work, how to meet a lovely woman.... now surely these problems are golden compared with **** I am banged up again, or OD'ing and waking up in ER... So today all my problems are golden, could be platinum in fact Kevin

Yep I guess it was popcorn
Having a good day here, I slept for 10 hours last night, I must have needed it. Today is a public holiday here, its the 'Melbourne Cup' a horse race lol only in Oz I am about to do some exercise and then go out for a bike ride. Later will pick up a friend and drive into town to a meeting its an anniversary and their is a BBQ, should be fun and will be a large meeting, looking forward to cataching up with some people. I am starting an Intenet dataing site LOL my daughter and a friend are going to 'shape' it and run it, Dad is just setting it up and forking out the initial capitol. I don't know how it will go but I am sure something will come out of it and hey don't tell anyone lol. So how is your Monday evening Chy? How is that Daughter and Grand Baby? Kevin

A horse race as a public holiday? Boy am I in the wrong country! LOL
Today is son's birthday so had a little party for him at school made him his favorite dinner and he's off with his "home boys" lol.. Other than that a typical hectic Monday at work. Daughter and grand baby doing good now, though we did have a scare last week but all is okay and just can't wait for that baby to get here, thanks for asking! Uhhh mums the word on the new site! LOL.. good luck with that venture it's a popular commodity!

Glad your daughter and baby are ok Chy and happy birthday to your son. Yes dating sites are popular, gives my daughter a few others something to do and I think its time for me to start exploring things again but this time from a totally different perspective.
What a colourful theme! I still have no idea what Thanksgiving is all about, except that its a holiday igger than Christams in the US? Going to read for an hour then off to the city. Kevin

Basic Text p. 85 Many of us attended our first meeting and, not being entirely sure that NA was for us, found much to criticize. Either we felt as though no one had suffered like we had or that we hadn't suffered enough. But as we listened we started to hear something new, a wordless language with its roots in recognition, belief, and faith: the language of empathy. Desiring to belong, we kept listening. We find all the identification we need as we learn to understand and speak the language of empathy. To understand this special language, we listen with our hearts. The language of empathy uses few words; it feels more than it speaks. It doesn't preach or lecture - it listens. It can reach out and touch the spirit of another addict without a single spoken word. Fluency in the language of empathy comes to us through practice. The more we use it with other addicts and our Higher Power, the more we understand this language. It keeps us coming back. Just for today: I will listen with my heart. With each passing day, I will become more fluent in the language of empathy. pg. 337
